Ascent Trip Report

I've dreaded this mountain, and now I don't know why; in hindsight it's a very easy ascent. Walked past the gate, then past the cabin, then tended right in an open area. At 1.5 miles came the first crossing of Eddy Brook. Crossing 2 is vague and very washed-out. Crossing 3 is at a hairpin turn, but not *the* hairpin turn. At crossing 4 the road makes the proper hairpin turn, shooting up right, away from the river. After several switchbacks I came to the third cairn, but continued on the road another 50' and followed the obvious herd path and/or drainage path until running into a very well-used herd path that led to the East peak (under half a mile). From there it was a quick trip to the West peak.
