Ascent Trip Report***Private Outing***
3 day, 2 night backpack for two pitch Class 5 Route up southeast side of Mount Starr King. My first Class 5 peak! Nice trail for first half of distance to camp; cross country from there across easy to read and cross terrain. About 5 miles and 5 hours to camp. Second day we summited; we came up to southernmost saddle, then class 3 (?) up the bump south of Starr King. Two pitches followed by s short class 3 scramble to summit. Two station rappel to get down and then moonlight hike back to camp. About 2 miles and 10 - 11 hours for summit and return. Third day we packed out; about 3 hours from camp to car. Distance given is for entire trip.
