Ascent Trip Report

Getting to the trailhead is pretty easy as there are good signs (as long as you know the trailhead is at the Loop campground, as that is what the signs mention). The dirt road is fairly decent up to the campground where it deteriorates, but is still passable for normal cars.

We ascended via the more popular southeast ridge route which was fairly well maintained, and usually a good trail, though steep in places.

We descended by the north ridge trail, and was not maintained as well. It also seemed quite a bit steeper in many places, and had an additional 250' of vertical gain. That said, it did cross several creeks and probably had much better wildflower displays earlier in the season.
