Ascent Trip Report

As far as I can determine, Big Tom is the 8th highest named summit point in North Carolina. It is located along the Deep Gap Trail and only .2 mile from Mount Craig, the 2nd highest point in North Carolina. The trail goes right next to the highest point of each peak and both have a summit benchmark.
