Ascent Trip ReportThis was a family hike with friends, party of 8 with the youngest persons being 7 years old. It was an absolute beautiful day. Nice Alpine feel when taking the west trail down. Cows with bells in the pasture, stags on the slopes and even an Marmot.
We all had lunch just below Col de la Cabane while me and my son summited Puy de la Perdrix. An extra 1 mile walk gaining about 200'.
The day started off clear, but the forecast came thru: thunderstorm. They arrived half an hour after we left the trail head. Temps fell 10C in half an hour with hail and thunder.
