Ascent Trip ReportDove up Ophir south fork 4x4 road to the saddle overlooking 5-mile pass. Found the trail and hiked up the ridge to the first shoulder, around to the north of a little knob, across a saddle, and then the trail started to drop some and was very overgrown. I looked up and said to myself "Straight up the ridge can't be much harder than this". Oops - It was. Still I made it up Lewiston and Flat Top and back to Lehi by 2pm. A good day hiking. Lessons learned: 1. Stay on the trail. 2. Bring a Jack and a Tire pump for off road travel. Fortunately I didn't need either, but I felt a bit vulnerable without them on such a rough road.
