Ascent Trip ReportFollowing the most wild and turbulent ferry rides I've ever been on the day before, which left around 3/4 of the boat hanging over the rails (or into those little plastic-lined baggies...), we landed on Sark in a storm. Not having a reservation to stay meant a bit of nail biting on the walk through to find a B&B, but given it was after the tourist season, this didn't pose a concern. We stayed at the Le Vieux Clos, very near the highpoint. Our GPS put the top spot right at the old windmill, which is being restored, but we hit various other hilltops in the neighbourhood just for good measure (and because everything's close and beautiful to walk). Heading down to Little Sark, via the narrow pass that drops steeply down to small ocean bays on either side is an absolute must.
