Ascent Trip ReportVery easy drive up. US 58 to VA 600 between Damascus and Independence. Ironically the mountain is well signed on US 58 but then on VA 600 there is no sign at the turnoff. Basically the first left road, and if you hit the AT crossing, you've gone to far.
Gravel access road is pretty much drivable in any car, just watch for the few rocks and maybe a future washout. Road will go through several switchbacks (nice views to south into NC), stay right at every intersection as you get close to the top.
Top is a FAA/cell tower farm. But there is a high point on the east side just into the pine forest that a few people have started to add rocks for a cairn. I think I was the 4th rock.
