Ascent Trip ReportWe took the South Loop ascent and Descent from the parking lot outside of the Visitor Center (Which was closed for the season).
As this is entirely climbable by a decently maintained (and recognizable throughout) trail, we stuck to the trail 95% of the time, except to look at the Plane Crash Remains and walk a little longer along the Ridgelines.
The weather took a fairly nasty turn to the rainy and windy that we didn't really anticipate/planned wel enough for after about the 10,500 feet mark, but we still had enough body heat and short enough distance to make it to the top.
Having done a decent amt of the other Spring Mountain ranges, i didn't expect this one to create it's own weather like it is apt to do.
Great hike, always great bonding for everyone, very glad we finished it. Once again, used Branch Whitney's book as the premise, and 'bird and hike' as a follow up before we went.
