Ascent Trip ReportParked at Voros Ski Centre (c2000m) and followed ski lifts to top of ridge, then west along ridge to summit. Returned by same route - 2hrs 15mins all told. This route is not v inspiring at the start - out of season ski runs are always ugly and depressing - but the summit is great, with amazing views into Macedonia and an orthodox chapel. The map I was using is now well out of date, as it marked a closed border zone and stated the chapel was ruined. Neither is true, although you can still see the trench lines around the summit and the boundary wall of the chapel is decorated with concrete bombs and barbed wire chains! No other walkers, just a few shepherds. A better walk might be to join the border ridge further east (my road map indicates a road crossing the border at this point) and walk along the ridge.
