Ascent Trip ReportThanks to Lee Newton for his trip report which was very helpful. There are now 2 parking areas: Les Faux at the crest of the hill on the left/south and Mont Sinai a further 50 metres on the right/north side of the D34. We visited Observatoire du Sinai with its views, IGN trig point and pill box defences with interesting World War One information boards; then proceeded on foot to a marked spot height of 292m just over 2km due west of here (at the cross-roads of forest paths near label "Le Chêne Martin" on IGN map, but not discernibly higher than many similar points on the surrounding plateau). For completeness we returned via the 286m spot heights on the road itself and in the woods to the south on the fascinating 'Les Faux de Verzy' trail with its dwarf beech, oak and chestnut trees.
