Ascent Trip ReportWe missed this one during the Pemi trip because of the rain. So we had another long hike in before we got to the interesting bits. We bushwhacked from the Black Pond area northwards. It was a pretty nice bushwhacking experience -- we lost the "trail" but were able to move quickly and find the main trail we were supposed to meet up with. The Owl's Head ascent itself was quite challenging -- really steep, poor footing, poorly marked trail. Once we got to the top, we had a har time finding the actual peak. We just kept following the "trail" til we came to a cairn that marked the top. The "trail" ended at that point as well. For the way back we bushwhacked back towards Black Pond. It was more challenging meeting back up with the Black Pond trail, but eventually we found it.
