Ascent Trip Report

Ascended up past Glen Boulder -- really awesome ascent. Tons of hiking above trees. Challenging uphill climb. We found a lot of wild blueberries along the way. We ascended almost to the Boot Spur, only to descend a lot to complete our "ascent" of Mt Isolation. Long hike to finally get out there. We decided to bushwhack our way back along a stream that connect back to the main brook, which would take us back to the path. Unfortunately it was very slow going and we wasted a lot of time bushwhacking. Eventually made it out (in the dark) and had to hitchhike back to our car. No one picked us up for the longest time (it was night after all), but eventually we got a ride back from an older gentleman.
