Ascent Trip ReportThis was a minor but beautiful hike on the way to Arc Dome. While some cross-country travel is required (from the trail to/from the high point), it is very trivial (class 1-2 on open rocky ground).
In terms of the approach, I was in a 4x4 vehicle. A passenger car could make it to the intersection of state highways 21 & 844 (both dirt at that point), there was debate whether or not a passenger car could have made the 10 mile forest road (119) to the campground. There was an unimproved stream crossing near the beginning of the road that would certainly be unpassable to passenger cars during high water.
