Ascent Trip ReportPer Roman Laba's recommendation, I decided to hike at Mt Colden with ADK Club members. Since I joined ADK club recently, this was my first hiking event at ADK club as a member. There are about 12 people hiked together and it was the first time to meet/hike with Roman. He and I will be hiking at Corsica(GR20) in France in June.
Mt Colden hike started from ADK Loj around 7:45am or so. The hike was easy in overall which is 12 miles RT hike. We hiked relatively slower pace and I wasn't tired after the hike, although someone was saying that this group was really fast pace hike. (Really?)
The summit at Mt Colden has brand new snow stuck and we did some breaking the trail. It was fantastic weather on March 26th and I could see Mt Marcy, Algonquin, Iroquois etc. 360 degree.
