Ascent Trip ReportMichael Blair, Monica Trust has been hiking in ADK this week. I joined them on 18th hike. Their plan was to stay in lean-tos at Arnold Lake after Phelps and TT hike in order to peakbag Colden next day. As I hiked Colden winter time, I joined their 2 days backpacking hike as a day hike. We met at Loj around 7:30AM and I think we left parking lot and started to hike around 8AM. We went to Marcy Dam, then, went to Phelps first. The trail is not extremely muddy and I felt long gaiter was too hot around my legs....
While Michael stayed at base of PH, Monica and I started to hike up to the PH summit. She carried blueberry and she shared it with me when we took a short break at ascent. BBs were so sweet and I enjoy eating them! We took a pic at the summit, then, hiked out. We re-started to hike toward TT. But before going up to TT, we decided to go slightly further, Indian Falls, to have lunch with nice view. We ate lunch, and again, Monica and I started to hike together to reach TT summit. We reached the Tabletop summit sign, then, hiked out. We hiked together another 0.8 miles, then, they went to direction of Arnold Lake and I aimed to go back to Loj. I came back to the parking lot at 4:10pm. It was nice day hike, although it's a bit humid. At least, there was no rain!
