Ascent Trip ReportThe summit ridgeline road was fairly rough and full of puddles that worried me a great deal in my low-clearance 1991 Ford Festiva. Getting stuck out here would force me into a very long hike for help. Fortunately, the bottom of the numerous puddles were solid and I continued cautiously as the road got narrower and narrower. Finally, I was worried about not being able to turn my car around, so I stopped when I reached a small parking spot .2 mile from the summit and hiked the remaining distance. According to my GPS, the highpoint was conveniently located just 10 feet off the north side of the road. At that exact spot, I found a large raised rock there. No view from the summit, of course, but it was nice to begin the day with an easy highpoint and a relief to get my tiny car back on paved road without getting stuck!
