Ascent Trip ReportPeter, Darcy, Dan, Nancy, Nick and I did Winter Hike to cover North & South Twins. The ices on Brook stream is already melted and we had to cross brooks carefully. At near the 1st summit of North Twin, it was very windy and cold. We took a short break to eat lunch. At this point, Dan wasn't doing well, so Nancy/Dan went back. The rest of us proceeded toward South to reach South Twin. Then, return the same path to come back to the parking lot. On the way back, Pete slipped on brook crossing and he fell into water from his face. His backpack pushed his face into water and he couldn't move for a while. Nick jumped in water and pulled Pete's backpack right away, so that Pete could get out of water. Pete is VERY experienced hiker. I learned that everyone, regardless of experienced level, is possibly into risky situation at outdoor activity.
