Ascent Trip ReportThis was the first time I hiked South Uncanoonuc.
The trail looped around the mountain at an easy to moderate grade. It passed some large rocks, and then wound through thick woods. It eventually intersected with the Link Trail, which starts at Mountain Rd. After some more hiking, the towers on the summit became visible, and it wasn't long before we crossed the auto road.
We walked around the summit, looking at its many towers. We looped back to near the trail, and walked to a viewing area. I took some video, and then we went back down the way we came up.
