Ascent Trip ReportI made the horrible mistake of choosing to free solo climb up the direct center of the north face of Castle Mountain. I quickly found myself climbing up several 5.9 and 5.10 cracks. I also had to climb under many chokstones including two huge ones lodged in the crack were I squeezed myself through a tiny crack under the boulder. I eventually got to the top and was humbled because I realized that I had taken much more risk than I am willing to accept as a climber. I have another chance and I am very humbled and I need to be alot smarter if I want to continue living.
