Ascent Trip ReportGlad I used the TR from Ben Lostracco. Was very helpful. The gravel road was chained off but it does not lead to a homestead and the upper part of the mountain has been cleared for much of it so you can open cross county and bushwhack to reach the top. It is not 200 yards to the top from where the road ends, however, likely more like 500 yards and 200 feet plus more gain but easy to open country the hillside. The whole private property thing does not make me comfortable. Glad to have others like Ben go before me and make sure that the trailhead is not going to lead to someone's residence.
1,600 feet of total gain for the day and 7.6 miles and I bagged Whitton Hill, Douglas Mountain twice, and Clark all on my way to do Mount Washington in NH.
