Ascent Trip Report

Well this was a surprise hike. My pal Johnny and I were going to try Allen, it got to late so we headed up to Keene and stopped in the Moutaineer for some help. We were guided to Giant and Rocky Peak Ridge, it was great weather and while there were alot of people on the trail we did have space. Started from Chaple Pond at 9:00am and hit Giant summit at 12:30pm. This is a pretty verticle climb and is rocky. If you are going to do Giant you may as well do Rocky Peak Ridge it is right next door. It will take you an extra hour to hour and a half from the split to the peak of RPR and back.
This is a real challenge but again you may as well since you are already there.
