Ascent Trip Report

**Private hike with co-worker and his friend

Stats: 21.9 miles, +5,000' gain lolli-pop hike from South Fork Trailhead. Route up = South Fork (Dry Lake) --> 10.8 mile, +4800', Route Down = South Fork (Dollar Lake) --> 10.1 mile (includes Dollar Lake side-hike which is itself 1 mile RT, +200')

Time (Total): 9.5 hours (took me 3 hr 58 min to the top, felt no altitude effects not even slowing down; overall avg pace to the top = 2.9 mph drinking only 1 L of water...had 3.5 L of fluids with me at the start including water filter). One of my best high-altitude hikes ever, performance-wise.

Some cumulus clouds, but no thunderstorms.
