Ascent Trip ReportThe north peak of Temple Mountain is where I originally thought the summit was. However, I looked on a map and found out that the summit was further away. Anyway, here's my trip report of the hike to this point.
We started at a parking lot off of NH Route 101 near Pack Monadnock. The trails follow old ski trails. Several pieces of ski rubble are visible along the trail. There's actually a few different ways to reach the tower at the top of the north peak. We took a way that had a moderate grade.
The way up isn't particularly scenic, with the only thing worth looking at being Pack Monadnock.
We got to the tower and took a break and ate and drank some water. I found a trail that goes away from the tower. We followed it for a short while and then decided to hike Pack Monadnock.
We went down a different way that was on the same system of trails. We got in the truck and drove over to Pack Monadnock.
I would really like to find the true summit of Temple Mountain.
