Ascent Trip Report

Ken and I hiked at Monte Cinto on June 17 2011. This mountain is the highest summit in Corsica Island, France, near GR20.
7 people group hiked together at GR20 Nord section for 10 days. On June 17, it was off hiking day. But we wanted to hike over there. It was long day hike. It's 7.5 miles hike w/ 4244.6 ft elevation gain and loss. It took 8 hour 31 min to hike.
On the way up, we crossed brook, rock scrambles at the beginning, then, huge slide section, passed some snow on the ground. continued hiking up, up and up. After 3-4 hours hike, we met hiking friends, 2 Fin guys and Norwegian Boad. We hiked together some ascent part. We finally achieved the summit in the early afternoon.
