Ascent Trip ReportOn the final leg of a 10 day trip that centered on viewing the final launch of the space shuttle (coolest thing I have ever seen!). Second highpoint of the day, as we claimed Florida in the morning. A bit tricky to locate, as there is no clear signage. You have to enter the fee area, and then it is a simple drive to the top. Climbed the monument and had hoped to see the Nascar track in the valley (Talladega), but there was too much haze in the air.
Will visit GA, SC, NC & TN on the way home.
