Ascent Trip ReportAfter an amazing time watching the final space shuttle flight, we finished off a few days relaxing in Florida before setting back off north for some high points. Found this highpoint without any trouble. Met 2 brothers in the parking lot who were also at the launch. Small world! One of the brothers is a member of the Coast Guard and is stationed right there at the cape. He gave my 13 yo son a comemerative ribon from the launch. Totally awsome! Have met some really cool people at these high points.
Later in the day we claimed the Alabama high point. Will visit GA, SC, NC & TN on the way home.
