Ascent Trip Report

After growing up in the Pikes Peak region and looking at that beautiful mountain all these years I finally decided to attempt a climb. So on Father's Day, my wife and I along with our 3 kids ages 12, 10 & 8 decided to attempt our first 14er. We hit the trailhead at 6:00am and began the ascent. It was a tough climb, but we just took our time and kept on pushing. After several hours and a tough climb through the boulders, we were triumphant on the Peak. And what a great Father's Day gift it was!!
