Ascent Trip Report
The trail was slippery and muddy in the morning, but easy going and clear of blow downs.
Saw lots toads and frogs, snakes. Evidence of moose (tracks and scat) along the whole route. Saw some wild brook trout in the streams. The White Admiral butterflies were in abundance, clustering on rocks and roadside. More wildlife than any of my other hikes combined.
Would do this hike again in a heartbeat and when I'm not 'bagging, really take my time to enjoy it.
