Ascent Trip ReportWeather was questionable, so most people in meetup dropped out. But we had a FAST group of 5 - Jeff, Emily, Joe, me and Scott. Flew up Hale in about an hour. Rained pretty good on the way up, but then it stopped and started clearing on our way to the Zealand hut. Made good time to Zeacliff - sun! - and were at Zealand quite soon. Guyot was our turnaround if skies looked questionable, but weather was on our side. Made it to West Bond, Bond and Bondcliff under sunny skies and without thunderstorms. Bugs on Bondcliff were vicious! At this point we knew we had the chance of a 10 hour traverse and flew down until Joe lost his poles. :) 30 minutes later we were back on our way. Fast out of Lincoln Woods and Joe lost his poles again... Finished with a good foot soak in the river and some ice cream. Fun, fast traverse!
