Ascent Trip Report

Lots of water and mud on the trail today. Some clouds and fog but very little in the way of bugs (thank heaven).
Gorgeous trail and it felt like we had the mountain to ourselves. From the time we hit the trail to the time we returned we didn't see a single other individual. even on the Long Trail.
on the way down, it poured...and hailed when we got about 2 miles down. Made the last half mile miserable but otherwise a great hike.
Point of note; the trail runs alongside the most massive maple sugar operation I've ever seen for quite a bit.
