Ascent of Mount Antero on 2006-06-30
|Date:||Friday, June 30, 2006|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||14269 ft / 4349 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe began on the Browns Creek Trailhead (used also for climbing Tabauche/Shavano). Went easy the first day and selected a low camp spot. Next day we left under a clear sky to get to the lake - the clear sky turned grey in a matter of minutes and a fierce hailstorm tortured us for a good half hour. The next day we woke up at 1:00 am from high camp and summited. Perfect weather. We went back down to high camp, packed up and hiked down in about three hours.
