Ascent Trip Report

Great day. This, my first real bushwhack, was more than I anticipated - steeper, longer, gnerally tougher. Did not really find a herd path off the hairpin turn, but did find one on the ridge, which was nice. Stayed on the shoulder between the streams (east most stream was dry). Avoided the nettles and thorns as much as possible. Calves hurt on the way up - quads and hammys on the way down. GPS worked great!
