Ascent Trip Report

The road through McAfee Canyon is remarkably good- I got my Honda Civic over 7000' and could have gone further, but I wanted some exercise and was getting concerned at finding a place I could park (the road is often 1.5 lanes wide with steep curbs).

Once parked the hike up was good, though the rocky ground and sometimes plentiful bushes kept it interesting. Navigation would have been challenging in parts without a GPS. The not-yet-full register dates back to 1986.
