Ascent Trip Report2.5-day AT hike from ME RT 4 to Sugarloaf Mountain. Started ~5pm 5/23, spent first night in Piazza Rock lean-to (2 mi from road). Hiked from Piazza Rock to Poplar Ridge lean-to on 5/24, summiting the Saddlebacks (~9 mi). Hiked from Poplar Ridge lean-to up Poplar Ridge, forded Orbeton Stream, then summited Lone, Spaulding, and Sugarloaf before descending via ski trails. Trip total ~25mi.
