Ascent Trip Report

I went back to repeat this peak (which I had climbed by itself five years earlier), so that I could finally bag Torreys Peak. I had had to bail on Torreys back in '92, because the wind in the afternoon made it too cold for my skinny little dog (and because it was getting late; I was, frankly, out of shape).
This time, I returned with my daughter's then boyfriend, Lance, a trained distance runner. We made it to the summit from the Stevens Gulch TH in barely two hours, a nice accomplishment, I thought. This time, the weather was calm and very warm, and we had no trouble traversing to Torreys in time for lunch. A great day.
