Ascent of Juniper Peak on 2011-05-22
|Date:||Sunday, May 22, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||7209 ft / 2197 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI used Dennis Poulin's excellent 15 Apr 2011 trip report from this site. My mileages were a little shorter, but that's to be expected with a different odometer.
The last road up to the ridge was somewhat challenging in a RAV4, but after moving a few rocks off the road I made it.
Careful hand leveling in both directions confirmed that the southerly summit (near the bench mark, by the 6-foot cairn) is slightly higher than the northerly (and pointier) 7200-foot closed contour.
