Ascent Trip ReportKen and I started to hike on TR50 (Giant's Washbowl from Roaring Brook Trail) on Rt73 near Keene Valley around 10:30am. We both thought this is easy hike. It was relatively easy until we reach to Giant's summit. It was steady ascent and sometimes I have difficulty to up on ledges because I'm short person. After we reached to Giant summit, we started to hike on ridge toward to Rocky Ridge Peak. It was challenging hike and we had to slowly go down because the trail is steep down and rocks are wet due to rain. It was a bit less than 10 miles hike, but, we both felt it's more challenging hike than hike in WHITES/NH. I always feel that way... The weather was cloudy, rain, sun shine. It repeated multiple times. So we had to wear rain jacket when it started to rain heavily. Then, we took it off when rain stopped and sun was shining....
