Ascent Trip ReportPlease note that to reach Montezuma Pass, one must drive on a few miles of dirt, but the road is quite passable by ordinary cars.
This trail is very well maintained given how remote it is. The lower third of it has no shade, but beyond that, trees become more common, in places even walking under a solid canopy. The trail passes at least three mine openings that have been sealed shut. The summit views are incredible.
