Ascent Trip ReportDespite operating on < 2 hrs of sleep, and perhaps feeling the effects of a night out at a sports bar w/ old high school chums the night before, this was a great hike!
Going by Marcy Dam (both to and fro) offered just superb views! Breathtaking. In my condition, going up Phelps was pretty slow-going (it seems). What a good, steep ascent up the mountain, though! Met a mother and kids at the summit, and a small group from Montreal (I gather, from the accents). Actually, a pretty short day - 5.5 hrs overall hike time.
I did Phelps again this winter. It was great hiking it in the snow, too!
