Ascent Trip ReportEasy trail hike ..... 1 mile, 35 minutes RT.
From the intersection of hwy24/CR51 in Riverside we drove south on CR51 for 3.3 miles to the TH on the right side of the road, plenty of parking (just past Old Moriches Riverhead Road on the left).
I hiked the wide blue-blazed multi-use trail north .2 miles, then west .3 miles to the obvious wooded summit. The high ground is just south of the trail at a GPS reading of 40.88021, 72.71015. There are 3 "US Coast & Geodetic Survey, Triangulation Station", in concrete pads. Mostly Oak woods with evergreen.
