Ascent Trip ReportDid Sawteeth, Pyramid, Gothics, and Armstrong from Weld Trail, starting from the Ausable Club trailhead. A very long and hot day, as we were only going to do Sawteeth that day. After Sawteeth we decided to do Pyramid, Gothics and Armstrong. Lost a bottle of water along the way. On the descent from Armstrong, had very little water so the lack of hydration made for a long, brutal hike down. Relaxed under the Beaver Meadows Falls. The views from Gothics and Armstrong were great.
It was on the summit of Armstrong that I had my first run-in a group from with Hiking Mates of the Capital Region, which I joined in August of that year and have hiked with numerous times. I think it would be interesting to do Gothics and try the descent from the cable by it.
