Ascent Trip Report

This was an easy drive-up on the way south: we'd climbed Killini and Saitas earlier in the day.

The approach was complicated by the fact that the fairly new motorway was missing from the SatNav. Driving south, exit immediately after the toll plaza, at a T-junction turn R, then turn L (S) onto the old road. Continuing S, the access road turns R (E) at N37.34726 E22.26971. A fairly good dirt road climbs the big hill, passing a monastery on the R and continuing to within 50m of the summit. The highest point is a limestone block just outside (N side of) a comms mast fence, at N37.34837 E22.24802, 1245m. The fence is broken down; inside it is a toppled cylindrical trig pillar N37.34825 E22.24830, slightly lower.

We then continued our Peloponnese journey southwards, with our sights set on our 7th and final Ultra of the trip, Óros Taigetos the next morning.
