Ascent Trip ReportDeployed to Nellis AFB for 2 weeks, and we drove out to Charleston to make an attempt at the summit knowing the snow conditions would prevent an actual top out. We got up to the North Trail and followed it for a couple miles until steep snow and drop-offs pursuaded us to turn back.
End result was maybe 3.5 to 4 miles one way through one and off snow until the snow was just to much to continue without crampons or other snow gear.
