Ascent Trip ReportSept. 22, 2007 - Successful - Borah Peak
Left Idaho Falls 4:30am, hit the trail at 6:30am with my son Allen. Had to beat an approaching storm. Discovered "Chicken Ridge" when we were almost across it. No Snow field to cross, minor amounts as we approached the final leg of the trip. Ascent took 4.5 hours, descent 2.5. Scramble over Chick Ridge was the favorite part of the trip, next to the view. Encounter snow and rain on the way down, but still very enjoyable. Poles and a small length of line would have been nice.
