Ascent Trip ReportA few days drive from the High Uintas in Utah, passing Santa Fe, Roswell and the Carlsbad Caverns, ended at the National Park campground. Alpine start with head lamps to avoid the heat. Easy trail to follow, even in the dark. Made it to the top and enjoyed some lunch before hiking back to the camp. Interesting monument on the summit. Set off to El Paso with a short visit to Mexico, by foot.
The second highpoint during the 2004 vacation.
