Ascent Trip Report

I followed Mike Schwartz earlier report but would suggest a slight modification. County Road 138 intersects Ohio 260 well before T-100 Wiley Road if you’re headed west on 260 from New Matamoras. I followed Mike’s route on the way in but headed back on 138. For the second point, parking nearest the high point knob on C-138 seemed a bit iffy, but there’s a parking lot next to the Washington Hall Church a couple of hundred yards east. From there a track heads roughly in the direction of the high point. A bushwhack is still necessary to the top but it’s a bit shorter than from the road. Combined elevation gain for the two high points is about 160 feet; combined round trip distance slightly under one mile.
