Ascent Trip ReportDecided to take the NY State County Peak challenge, starting on my birthday. This was the closest one to us, so we started here.
Directions:
From the NY State Thruway (I-90) get off at Exit 45(Victor-96). After the exit go South on to 96(Left Turn) -> West on 251(Right Turn) -> South on Strong Rd(Left Turn) -> West onto Parish Rd(Right Turn). On Parish is Turkey Run Road. This is a small road marked Private. This runs along the county line. Take this, there are lots of Private Signs for most of the property on the road. When you get to the end the road will dip down, then back up. At this point there will be a field on the left and a house straight ahead. I parked where the road had dipped. The Trailhead is right before the road dips on the right hand side. After this it is a very nice walk through a nice and beautiful area. Followed the trail around until there was a clearing. At the end of the clearing marks the high point.
