Ascent Trip ReportKen, Todd and I hiked to Owls Cliff and Mt Tremont on 4/10/2011.
We did car spot at the ending point of our hike which is Mount Tremont Trail Trailhead on RT302, then, we drove about 40min to get to the hiking starting point which is Rob Brook Road from Bear Notch Road. Rob Brook Road is not used frequently, so when we started to hike, we did make a lot of postholing when snow is getting softer by sunshine. It made me to go back to the car to bring snowshoes.
To hike-in Owls Cliff is very steep in some section. Also, after passing Owls Cliff, hike up to Mt Tremont is also very steep which kicked my butt a lot.
It was beautiful day to hike and we spent some time to enjoy nice view of White Mountain range at South side of Mt Tremont.
