Ascent of Mount Woody on 2011-04-03| Others in Party: | Joel Brewster Jeff Casey Harlan Stockman Michelle Napoli Ali Haghi James Cho Michael Shackleford Maria
| | Date: | Sunday, April 3, 2011 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Mount Woody | | Location: | USA-Nevada | | Elevation: | 5356 ft / 1632 m |
Ascent Trip ReportMount Woody was a fairly trivial hike from Summerlin Peak, and while it has a greatly reduced view of Las Vegas (especially Summerlin), it has great views of Red Rock and north to the Spring Mountains.
The route down was fairly tame (boring), with only a little bit of easy class 3 in the section of the wash that gets very narrow.
